The Best Day Ever

It was the beginning of July. I had just woken up and i see my parents packing their things. It was the day we were gonna move. I quickly got myself ready so I could help pack. I go to the kitchen and see my mother trying to pick up a heavy bag full of objects. "Need some help?" I asked. She nodded as i came to help. "Do we really have to move. I mean this is a good apartment. We could finally do whatever we want since no one can tell us what to do."My mom just sighed as we put the bag on the floor next to the door.



It took awhile just to get the clothes since we had alot of them. My little brother Cris and my little sister Brianna were watching their favorite show, "Spongebob Squarepants" as my mom and dad packed. Finally we finished packing. We took all the bags to the truck and put them all in. It was pretty funny since my dad's stomach was growling of starvation. Each time it would growl he would make a joke to make Brianna and Cris laugh. They laughed their pants off. We closed the truck and headed to the car. Once we got it, Cris and Brianna said," Are we there yet?" I laughed as we started to drive off.



We finally got to the apartment at around 11. It had a pretty nice front lawn. Flowers bloomed in the garden as we walked past. We got inside and Cris and Brianna gasped in astonishment. "This looks so cool!" My parents just smiled as they ran around the apartment looking at everything. I went outside to get the bags from the truck. My mom and dad came to help a few minutes later. It took about 2 to 3 hours to put all the bags in the apartment. My back was sore from picking up the things. " You guys could go outside if want." my mom said. We said okay and headed out the door. Brianna was the first out the door and jumping around. Cris just started to play with is bow and arrow toy. I sat down on the steps watching them play.



A girl came outside from an apartment two apartments down from us. She saw Brianna as she walked by. I noticed them suddenly talking. I heard the name Medina which i guessed was hers. I got up to make sure nothing would happen. "Hello. My name is Medina" she said with a smile on her face as I came. I told her all our names and told her how we were just moving there. A few minutes later, she was playing with Cris and Brianna. I stood there watching.



Then a boy came out and greeted me. "You new around here?". I nodded. He started talked about the neighborhood, the stores around there, and his name which was Sean. Then he asked if I wanted to watch him play basketball. I nodded as I sat down to watch. He wasn't that good at it but I could tell he was a show off. Each basket he made was a different turn or spin. Then two more kids came out. One tall boy and one girl. Sean had asked me and them to sit down in the middle of the basket to make a shot. I was next to the girl. She has brown curly hair and was kind of cute. She said hi to me as I said hi back. I found out her name was Sabrina.



Sean turned around us has he made his shot. I turned and said hi to the boy and he said hi back. He had long curly hair and a hat on. His name was Johnathan. We started talking and we found out that we both just moved there and that he lives a floor above me. He was pretty funny and cool. He said I was hilarious and asked if I would like to hang out with him later. I nodded as he walked inside the apartment. I went inside with Cris and Brianna as we told our parents about the new people we met. I asked if I could go Upstairs to hang out with Johnathan. They nodded.



I walked upstairs and knocked on the door as someone opened. A lady came out and said " Can I help you?". I asked if Johnathan was there and as I asked, he appeared by the door. He took me inside and greeted me to his family. There was his mom, Melinda. His dad, Manny. And his sister which I found out to be Sabrina. We went into his room and played some video games. It was the best day ever! And I'll never forget it.

Her Smile

When I looked at her smile, I knew she was up to something. She had been doing it for the past few days. I have no idea why. People say they want to tell me, but can't for some reason. I'm very curious on what it's about. I need to find out. I hope it is a good reason rather than a bad one.

The next day at school she did it again. Staring and smiling at me. It's was a little scary but soon I'll find out why she is. At the cafeteria, i was sitting down and i looked to the corner of my eye. I saw her and her friends looking at me and giggling. I decided to go up and ask what has been going on.

"Can I talk to you?" I asked. She smiled and said,"Sure!" At first I felt kinda nervous and frightened. Thinking what it's all about as we walked outside the cafeteria. I stood there for awhile looking at her. She seemed to be blushing for some reason. Suddenly i felt like i knew what it is about. All the staring and smiling. It all started to make sense. I felt a weird feeling in my stomach.

"Why do you keep on staring at me and smiling?" I asked. She got very quiet and blushed so much that her face turned red. I stood there waiting for an answer. "What would happened if I liked you?" she asked. Suddenly I felt like I was in a dream. I knew she was gonna ask, but for some reason it caught me off guard. I just shrugged and she suddenly looked depressed. "Never mind....." she said as she walked away. I looked at she was walking to the door. I ran and grabbed her arm. "I'd be happy" I said with smile. She stood there staring into my eyes as I stared into hers.

She started to come closer to me. Next thing we know, we're right next to each other. Close as can be. Suddenly, we kissed. Then I asked "Would you go out with me?" She smiled and kissed me saying,"Yes!"

I'll never forget that day. The day I found love with a smile.
